Fence Black
Sceneys fence black is an attractive black paint that is environmentally and user friendly. A blend of Sceneys old fashioned weatherproof Oil and bituminous black, it is ideal for post and rail fences and has come to adorn many a horse property throughout Australia since its introduction in 2008.
Fence black penetrates deep into the timber to eliminate drying, cracking and warping. It also prevents moisture from getting into the timber which can cause rotting.
If applied to old dry timber the paint can rejuvenate the fence to look like new, and is ideal for the harsh weather conditions encountered throughout country Australia.
No one else offers a product like this in Australia. There are water based acrylics on the market, but they simply sit on the surface and do not offer the right kind of protection that timber needs, which can only be gained from an oil based paint such as our fence black.
The paint can also be used for sleepers and retaining walls in garden settings. For larger areas fence black can be applied with a spray gun.
For cleaning up, you should use Sceneys Ezyclean, which can easily be washed out in tap water. This is far more economical and environmentally friendly than cleaning up with mineral turps.
Safer Than Creosote Oils
Fence black is easier to handle and safer to use than creosote oils which are becoming more restricted in their use. Sceneys is one of if not the only license holder to supply natural creosote oils for industrial and farm use. We are not able to supply it for individuals to use in household gardens or other domestic purposes.
